Though he got his start in corporate insurance sales in the 1960s and 1970s with the New England Mutual Life Insurance Co., Jack Zwerner came to fame through property development and high stakes poker playing. Today, Jack Zwerner is a World Series of Poker (WSOP) winner who was called the greatest Omaha Hold’em player ever by professional player and Poker Hall of Famer T.J. Cloutier.
Upon moving to Las Vegas in the late 1960s, Jack Zwerner submerged himself in the business of running a casino, eventually becoming the Senior Vice President of Casino Operations and Marketing for several of the Entertainment Capital of the World’s iconic gaming resorts, including Las Vegas Hilton, The Aladdin and the Dunes Hotel and Casino. After years of building up these and other world-class casinos, Jack Zwerner established his own business in 1982, the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino, which he successfully ran and grew into one of the largest and most profitable Indian casinos in the United States before selling his ownership.
Enjoying the entrepreneurism and creativity required to build and bring a quality casino to market, Jack Zwerner raised $300 million to develop Treasure Bay Casino, located in Biloxi, Mississippi. Returning to Las Vegas, Jack Zwerner continued to raise capital for new or outdated casinos. Due to some innovative marketing work, Jack Zwerner helped accumulate more than $100 million for the construction of the Stratosphere Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, which replaced Bob Stupak’s Vegas World and became the tallest tower and the fifth tallest structure in the United States and one of Las Vegas’ most exciting resorts.
Jack Zwerner eventually headed west for Los Angeles, where he founded a business opening brokerage firms across the country during the real estate boom. Jack Zwerner has predominantly focused his property development business on high-end commercial land in recent years, using his world-wide contacts to buy and sell luxury properties and build his company into a real estate powerhouse with the help of his son Jacob Zwerner who serves as President of the company. Jack Zwerner and his son Jacob Zwerner owned and operated as of recent the largest casino gaming ship in Florida.
